Freeride skiing in Tarentaise

Freeride skiing in Tarentaise

Lifting lifts, an immense area, and snow-capped mountains as far as the eye can see… welcome to Haute-Tarentaise in the Vanoise massif! Here your guide will make you discover the paradise of off-piste skiing. Between larch forest and a small high mountain glacier, the areas of Val d'Isère, Tignes and Sainte-Foy are the most famous spots in the French Alps for off-piste skiing. You can easily line up several descents of more than 2000m in altitude in the same day if you are in good shape. For beginners, the location is also ideal as there are many valleys and slopes that are affordable and easily accessible from the chairlifts.

100% freeride skiing session

100% freeride skiing session

With your high-mountain guide and in private, you will have the ideal formula so as not to queue for the ski lifts. In Val d'Isère, the Bellevarde and Pissaillas sectors are among the "Must" when it comes to freeride ski routes!

In Tignes, many descents allow you to start from the summit of the Grande-Motte (3653m alt.) And enjoy high-mountain routes with glacier skiing.
Those who love off-piste skiing will appreciate the splendid off-piste of Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise with the many routes of the tip of Foglietta which often keeps very good snow throughout the winter.

Whatever your level in off-piste skiing, the routes will be adapted to your requirements and to the conditions that we will encounter, as far as possible. The guide always tries to find the best snow, he relies on his expertise in snow-weather but also on his experience in the field.
The resorts of Haute-Tarentaise are among the most beautiful in the Alps, they are often authentic and some have kept character by preserving their villages of yesteryear with stone houses and slate roofs which constitute first choice accommodation during of a ski holiday! The village of Monal a stone's throw from Sainte-Foy is a perfect example.
Obviously for those who prefer frenzied après-ski after a good day off-piste, the bars of Tignes and Val d'Isère will meet your expectations. Whatever the outcome, the promise of a day on skis in the heart of the Alps will be kept!
