Briefing and distribution of the bivouac equipment.
Our journey starts at the col des Annes at the foot of the Pointe Percee (2751m), the highest summit of the Aravis range. The beginning of the route will be partly on lapiaz until the col des verts where the slope becomes steeper and steeper. We then switch to the southern side of the Aravis from where we can see the Arve valley and the Mont-Blanc massif. After a steep descent we reach our bivouac place on the mountain side. We are on a balcony suspended at the foot of the Mont Charvet and facing the Mont-Blanc range.
Night in bivouac under the stars.
Day 2 : Return via the combe de la grande forclaz
D+640m D-930m Dist 12 km 5h walk
The sun rises on the Mont-Blanc, it is time to get up and prepare our breakfast while enjoying the calm of the mountain. The next part of our route will take the passage of the Grande Forclaz which will allow us to switch to the combe of the same name. The atmosphere becomes very mineral. Once the combe is descended, we join the GR de pays which will bring us back to the col des Annes via the Bombardellaz, a pretty alpine hamlet.
