Day 1: Ascent to the Bostan Refuge via the Col de la Golèse
Elevation gain: 725m, Elevation loss: 80m, 3 hours 35 minutes of hiking
The first day of hiking begins at the Allamands parking lot at 1,096m. We follow a forest trail uphill toward the Col de la Golèse. As we emerge from the forest, the view opens up. We continue our route to the Col de la Golèse before facing the Dents d’Oddaz. Then, after passing a saddle, we descend into the valley where our refuge for the night is located.
Accommodation: Refuge. Meals: Dinner.
Day 2: Loop via the Tête de Bostan
Elevation gain: 675m Elevation loss: 1325m 6 hours of hiking
On the second day, we hike up the wild valley below the Dents d’Oddaz toward the Col de Bostan. We then continue toward the Tête de Bostan, which rises to 2,406m. The view of the Chablais and the Dents du Midi is magnificent. We continue along the ridge trail and descend toward the Bostan Forest to return to our starting point.
