Ski Chamonix - Zermatt

Historically, this Haute Route was born 150 years ago, when the English were looking for a way to cross the high passes between the big mountain towns, from Chamonix to Zermatt, without having to go down too often in the valleys.
The crossing proposed here follows a main route passing through Bourg Saint Pierre, at the foot of the Grand Combin, then through the glaciers of the Dent d'Hérens, to end in a climax facing the Matterhorn. A trail with a wild and alpine character, which can be declined in many variants, depending on the time available, the stages chosen, and the conditions. It can be done in 6 to 7 days for well-trained groups.
