Meeting point with your guide at the bus station in Thônes for a brief rundown and a reminder of the safety instruction. Once equipped with your harness, leads via and helmet, let’s go for 15 minutes walk before beginning the difficulties with a rope ridge and then an athletic overhang. The course is teaming with climbing passages, crossings and obstacles.
This via ferrata also named "Roche à l’Agathe" is very ethereal and vertical. Fortunately equipment allows us to safely climb up.The ascension is spreaded in 3 steps and difficulty progresses gradually. Two ways out allow to shorten activity. The last step is the most impressive part of the course because there is a passage with a vertical ladder called “Echelle des sapeurs de l’Empire”. You have to throw it across the drop! But do not stress, your guide will lead all along the course.
On the site, maybe you will see chamois who cross the rock, reaching mountain flowers to eat. This incredible climber will most likely impress you by its agility.
Once arrived at the top, the descente takes around 1h and is done using cables.
