Ski touring in Iceland

Ski touring in Iceland: Troll Peninsula

Skiing in Iceland is a unique experience, although it is not well known for ski touring. However, the terrain is well suited to ski touring due to the diversity of slopes offering skiers a wide range of possibilities. The Troll Peninsula region offers breathtaking scenery, with 360° views from the peaks, and the ever-present Arctic Ocean, fjords and marine wildlife invite contemplation. The weather is often capricious, but when the conditions are right, you can enjoy a wild environment far from the crowds, with the feeling of skiing in the middle of an ocean of snow. The Aurora Borealis, whale and seal watching, cod fishing, thermal baths at 40°C and ski touring in a crystal-clear and icy atmosphere are all on the programme for this Arctic holiday.
