Trek - In the heart of the Beaufortain mountain range

Trek - In the heart of the Beaufortain mountain range

The Beaufortain is a massif located south of the Aravis, north of the Tarentaise valley and in the western extension of the Mont-Blanc massif. It is a territory of large green mountain pastures, the birthplace of the famous Beaufort, but also of rocky peaks which make it a privileged destination for hiking and trekking. The massif is full of lakes (natural and artificial) and rivers, which gives it a soothing character. The route will cross this environment in search of the most beautiful paths and viewpoints. We will evolve between the lakes of Roselend, St-Guérin, the lake of love, the lakes of the storm. We will pass at the foot of the Pierra Menta, the emblem of the Beaufortain, all under the imposing gaze of the Mont-Blanc in the background.

3 days trek in the country of Beaufort and Pierra Menta

3 days trek in the country of Beaufort and Pierra Menta

Strong points of the stay

  • A tailor-made organization
  • An original itinerary
  • An immersion in the heart of the Beaufortain

During this 3 days and 2 nights trek, you will discover the most beautiful facets of the massif while roaming from refuge to refuge. You will evolve in large high mountain pastures where the tarines (local breed of cows) graze the flowers and herbs of the mountains in order to produce a quality milk which will give birth to the Beaufort cheese thanks to the know-how and work of the men. Water is also omnipresent and gives a soothing character to the mountains. Its exploitation in the XXth century is at the origin of many artificial lakes, including the Roselend lake which is the biggest of the massif. The wild fauna is also omnipresent: Marmots, chamois, ibex, bearded vulture etc. The panoramas and viewpoints on the Alps are also numerous. We will have the chance to see the Vanoise, the Lauzière, the Mont-Blanc, the Écrins and even the Valaisan Alps depending on the weather conditions.
In short, a condensed nature to recharge your batteries!
